17 in the same company
My best friend from high school called to wish me a happy "early" birthday. She is actually turning 30 4 days before me. It was nice to catch up, it's been almost a year. It's amazing how life can get so busy and time just passes by. She has always been such a great and loyal friend, it was definately nice to catch up and share our amazement that we will be in the 30 catagory so soon (especially when we feel so young!!)

19 cont...and 18
I had a busy Tuesday! After having lunch with my aunts/cousin I picked up Deb, my mother in law, to get her out of the house. We decided to shop around at Target and Younkers, and have a nice dinner at Applebees. She gave me a REALLY nice card and treated me to dinner. It was really nice to have some time with Deb. She is always so upbeat and happy, it can definately rub off on you! We had a great girls night out (which included some yellow dot clearance at Younkers!)
Day 18 My mom took me out for lunch and we had a really nice time over some appetizers! She made me a beautiful square quilt to go on my table or countertop. I love gifts from the heart! We then went out shopping in the Mall. I haven't been there in MONTHS, and there were so many new stores! We shopped at JC Penney's where she made me (alright, she didn't have to persuade me too much) try on a cute top that we saw on our way in. She then gave me her $10 off coupon to use against it so I could get it. That was very nice of her, it reminded me of how we always use to shop together when I was younger...it can be very DANGEROUS!!!! We had a great time together, and she definately made me feel loved and special! Thanks MOM!!

20, 19, and a side note
Yesterday I got a really nice card from Tami in the mail. It said "only 20 days till your 30th Birthday!" Now since it was sent, it must have been planned that she had day 20. Anyway, I shouldn't wonder about how this is working...I am just thankful for the many amazing people I have in my life.
Today 2 of my aunts and my cousin took me out to Le Bistro's for lunch. It was a really nice time to catch up. Life really gets so busy that you tend not to see family unless it's a holiday (Christmas) or another major event. It made me feel special that they all would take time out of their busy schedule to spend time with me.
On another note, have I mentioned lately how much I love my hubby?!!! He has been SO amazing during this "process" and so willing to sacrifice his time to help me out. Babe, it doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated. You mean the world to me and I'm excited to see what God has in store for us!!!

21 days...
In Church today a great friend, Barb, saw me from a far and had a huge smile on her face. I was curious as to why, but when I got closer she said, did you know it is 21 days till your birthday??? I said, no I didn't and she gave be a big hug and told me how much she cared for me. She also gave me a card (which I was wise enough to read once I got home so I didn't cause a scene) and some ghiradelli carmel chocolates!!! It was so thoughtful! Her card meant the most...I know she is praying for us and she said that she prays that God blesses me with the desires of my heart. This is one thing I have learned through the journey, it means SO much to know that there are friends/family that are diligently praying for us. It helps carry me though!
God really has spoke to me this week through Phillipians 3. It was our reading for the week, which I normally don't do...but I did, and one verse stuck out...forgetting what is behind, and striving forward to what lies ahead. This was also the main verse for the sermon today. With infertility it is always hard to be excited in the 2ww (2 week wait) because I have the constant reminder of how every past 2ww has turned out. But God spoke to me and wants me to FORGET (choose to neglect, or not think about) all the past 2ww disappointments and strive forward for what God has planned ahead. What PERFECT timing for this, God knew I needed to hear this at this exact time, thank you!

Feeling loved day 26&25
So, I think I'm right that something is going on...so I figured I'll blog about all the amazing people in my life that are blessing me in my official "30 days till I'm 30" coutdown.
Day 26: Dan and Deb took Dave and I out to Tejas for an unbelievable dinner!!! We all got the brisket, which is amazing!!!! We even got free dessert. We know the owner and he sent over an amazing dessert on the house, plus Dan told them it was my B-Day (or we were celebrating it) and I got a fried ice cream! We were STUFFED when we left!! I got an amazing card from Dan and I was trying to hold back tears as I read it and as both Dan and Deb went on about how special I am to them and how blessed they feel to have me as a daughter-in-law. It is really humbling to have people give you compliments. I had a blast, and I feel SO extremely blessed to have AMAZING in laws!!! I love them so much!
Day 25: My Grandma and Grandpa called me to tell me they were thinking of me. My Gramps answered the phone (it was so nice to talk to him too) and he said he wanted to wish me a happy birthday. When Grams came in we chatted for a while and both agreed we'd love to get together soon at our place, since they've never seen our home. Their phone call made me feel SO special, just the thought that they were thinking of me BEFORE my birthday brings me to tears!
So Dave told me he knows a little of what's going on, but he is not the mastermind. I told him how much it means to have so many people go out of their way for me to make me feel special. God's timing is crazy. He knew exactly what we would be going through at this exact time...he knew the crazy hormones and the crazy schedule and the crazy excitement...and he chose this time for a reason. God, your timing is so perfect...I may not always understand it, but I do trust it and treasure it.

Something's Fishy!!!
Alright, so I'm turing 30 in a number of days and I'm starting to possibly notice a "trend".
On Friday my sister took me out to coffee at one of my favorite coffee shops. I told her I was going to cover it, but she insisted that she was going to. Ok, fine. So we had a great time (thanks H!), and then when we left she gave me a card and a bit of advise to not screen my calls as much this month (I tend to do this sometimes). When I got home I opened it and it was a really nice card from her, and at the bottom, said something like "enjoy the next 30 days till your 30th birthday.". I thought nothing of it, then!
So here's when the fishy stuff starts...yesterday I was nappping and someone knocked on the door. Dave answered and came and got me and said his cousin and their son was at the door asking for me. Side note: we are close to this family, I love their 4 kids and they mean so much to me!! So I go to the door (kinda out of it from the nap) and there are the 2 cutest boys (4 and 8)all dressed up at the door in their suits and ties with flowers and a hershey kiss for me. They told me they loved me and gave me a big hug!! I was really confused (it wasn't valentines day) but it just melted my heart!! After they left I was able to let out some tears of appreciation! Then I open the card attached to the beautiful red rose and it was a nice card from the family, and at the bottom it said "27 days till your B-Day". Hmmmmmm. I looked at Dave and said what's going on, and he said he had no clue and had nothing to do with it (I don't think he was lying either). Sooooo...I think there is something fishy going on around here!!

Valentines Day
Dave and I celebrated Valentines Day on Friday. We had an AMAZING meal at Le Bistro. It was so nice to get all dressed up and go out on a nice date. We were there for an hour and a half (not due to slow service, just having a great time.) I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband who shows me he loves me everyday, not just on romantic holidays!
On Valentines Day we went down to see Ryan and Jackie. It was so nice! I really miss them (since they've moved away)!! Jackie has been such a blessing to me. She totally understands me and where I'm at. They are one of the only open couples that can totally understand where we are in life and will listen, pray, and support us. It can be quite fun sharing our stories!! I mentioned to Jackie that Dave will be out of town and I will need some help, and she quickly offered to come up for the timeframe to help out. What a blessing! I felt so blessed after leaving, they are an amazing family!

What God meant when He gave me infertility
He meant for my husband & I to grow closer, become stronger & love deeper. He meant for us to find the fortitude within ourselves to get up everytime infertility knocks us down. He meant for our medical community to discover medicines, invent medical equipment, & create procedures & protocols to eventually find a cure for infertility.
God never meant for me to not have children. That is not my destiny...it's just a fork in the road I am on. I have been placed on the road less traveled, & like it or not, I am a better person for it! Clearly, God meant for me to develop more compassion, deeper courage, and a greater inner strength on this journey & I haven't let him down.
Truth be known, I think God has singled me out for a special treatment. I think God meant for me to build a thirst for a child so strong & so deep that when that baby is finally placed in my arms, it will be the longest, coolest, most refreshing feeling I have ever known.
I found this on someone's blog and it really hit home for me. I praise you God, for you have done this FOR me!!!
