This week has been frustrating...we had a neurologist appt and basically he said that Jadon needed another helmet for his face asymmetry. I was hurt and confused. We knew he needed his rt forehead to pop out, but we thought it could do it on it's own. So, I finally called the orthotist, and he said to come on in and see what we can do with his old helmet. After a lot of foam removed, we got it to fit...for now.
It was such a hard decision. It's cosmetic, and we have no idea how much it would improve on its own. We didn't think it was too bad...mainly noticeable in a mirror. We found out that in severe cases there was a chance that he could have depth perception issues, tmj, and have a hard time finding a pair of glasses to fit if we left it. We had to choose what was best for our baby. In no way did I want to look back and say, I wish we would have tried everything. Now we will be able to say that.
So...there you have it. Now I'm really praying we don't add a hip brace in the end of July. Seems like we are slipping backwards and it's easy to have a pitty party. I waited HOW long for this baby and I have to deal with all this? But then I hear myself say, but look how many parents don't leave the hospital with a baby...look how many wish that these were there babies only issues. I then humbly bow my head and say...Lord, your will be done. You have already proved your plans are better than mine and your timing is best. Forgive me for not trusting in you and focusing on myself rather than You. Thank you for the beautiful gift you gave Dave and I...we are so blessed.

My little monster!!
Today Jadon is 7 months old! He is without any "attachments" but threats of them lurk in the background. That's a whole nother post! Anyway, some friends of ours lent us their jumparoo, and you could say Jadon LOVES it...take a look!
Yes, that is why I titled this post my little monster! He loves to snort/laugh with his mouth open, love it!!
Jadon weights about 20 lbs and is fitting into 9-12 month clothes. The 9 month are right at the limit of being stretched length wise.
He loves his bananas! He loves food...period! I really don't think he will have any issues with being weaned from the bottle at 1! Give the boy a spoon and he's good!
He tried ice cream for the first time at a party we were at...and no it was not mom or dad that gave it to him. Of coarse, he liked it...it's in the blood!
Jadon is a good sleeper at night and is iffy with naps. I can get one hour out of him normally, but he needs at least an hour and a half to be happy.
He got his first 2 teeth in!! They are coming up, and I don't think he's the happiest about it...still trying to figure out what they are.
Jadon loves to mimic you. He watches us eat and will start "chewing" with his mouth like we are...so cute!
We are back to cloth diapering, and I'm really enjoying it. Especially since he can poo 3 times a day. I was like, there goes another 20 cents, I just changed his disposable diaper like 5 minutes ago! I love not having to always check to make sure I have enough disposables on hand too. We do use them at night though....size 4 Goodnights still sometimes can't hold everything in!
He loves watching cars and trucks go by...especially on walks when they are so close! He is in the stroller now, no carseat needed!
I love my little man, and he is growing so fast. I'm trying to take in all the moments and enjoy them, they will soon be a memory!

Freedom!!
Last Friday was a big day! Not only did I score TONS of clothes for Jadon at rummage sales with a great friend, Jadon got his helmet off and was discharged from physical therapy!! CRAZY!!
God has definitely answered my prayers for the helmet. I was praying for 3 months, even though they said closer to 6 months cause of the severity. Not even 2 1/2 months and his head is totally reshaped! Praise God!! It happened at the perfect time cause it's been in the 60-70's lately and he would have been pretty uncomfortable I think. So, I got my baby back, fuzzy hair and all!! He woke up from his nap and his hair was sticking up, and I was like, this is new...what do I do with hair??
As for physical therapy, he is doing sooo well! The pt was surprised as well at how fast he got better cause his tortocollis was quite severe. It was harder to say good bye to her...we've been going since he was 6 weeks old!! Luckily she is a good friends aunt, so I'm sure I'll see her at some birthday parties!
His hip appt went well...we need another xray in 2 months to make sure his right hip is ok. It measured in normal range, but she just wants to make sure. She said, we can always brace him at night if we need to to help...I was like NO MORE CONTRAPTIONS!! So I am really praying for his hips to be PERFECT in two months. I believe God can do this, if it's his will! The dr said not to worry at all about it, but how can I not? But, he is able to be in a jumparoo and bumbo for limited time (15 min) a day. He LOVES the jumparoo a friend is borrowing us!! I love to see his face light up!
Plus, last week, while hubby was out of town, Jadon cut 2 teeth! Lets just say this momma needed a break! Fussy and crabby...but tyle.nol is our friend.
Last week was crazy busy, but it was awesome to see prayers answered and God's hand at work. It seems like we've been seeing a lot of that lately!
