I had my u/s and b/w yesterday to determine when we would be having the retrieval. God bless my u/s tech, but she had no idea what she was doing. I had to tell her to measure all the follies (yes, I did say ALL of them, she thought just the biggest one on each side!) and what they have done in the past for u/s. It really took about a half hour PLUS to do the u/s. I'm thankful she didn't just plow through it, BUT, my legs were QUITE sore in those lovely stirrups for that long! They were convulsing! Ha! The joys of IF! Anyway, she thought she saw 15! On Saturday we had to head down to the cities to get an u/s and they counted 13.
So, I triggered last night, which means we have our egg retrieval on Wednesday morning! I'm super excited. I'm not sure why, I'm going into surgery, but I am very calm and peaceful with the results. I am not worrying how many are retrieved and how many mature, etc. I have complete confidence that God is in control, and I am NOT! That is one thing I keep repeating to God over and over, "God, this is your cycle, you are in control and I accept your perfect plan."
So, we are looking to probably have our transfer on Saturday, with a small chance being on Monday instead (I say that cause we've always done 3 day transfers, but things can change!) After the transfer is when the real trial begins. It is REALLY challenging at that point, but I'm praying for strength and peace during the dreaded 2ww (2 week wait).
