BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you tell I (we) are excited?? We both had a feeling it was a boy (as well with MANY others), but it was so exciting to hear it told to us! The u/s was amazing, lasting an hour. Baby had his butt squished in the corner the whole time, but thankfully they could still see. We have great pics in 4D of baby with his legs in the air (almost touching his nose), and his arms are wrapped around his legs holding them up! What a little goof ball! It was an amazing opportunity to see into the "hidden place" where God is creating our baby. We also got a beautiful (or should I say handsome) face shot in 4D where he's smiling...man this little guy is already melting his momma's heart.
I find I have more of a connection now that I know what we are having. We call him by name, which is sooo great to hear..but we need to be careful cause we're going to leave the name a surprise till he arrives.
Speaking of surprises, It's super super hard to keep a secret that our miracle is a BOY! We are having a revealing party for our family on Father's Day, so I'm trying to stay quiet till then! I'm excited to post how that goes and some pics! HE will be the first grandson on both sides! It's amazing that God would still allow me to experience a first...even after so long. I have two nieces, so having a boy will be really different for my family.
We did have a very humbling experience as we were leaving from our appt. with the doctor. A nurse practitioner went into the dr's office and told her that the u/s she just did showed a non viable pregnancy. My heart dropped. Here we are celebrating our miracle, as someone else is going to get news that their baby didn't make it. It made me think, who am I that I get this blessing? It also made me realise how much of a precious gift I've been given...every day with this baby is a gift from above, and I need to make sure I don't take it for granted!
