Psalm 33:20-22

"We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you."

I can't believe I finally clicked "purchase!"

Dave and I have been researching cribs and car seats lately. WOW, there are SOOOO many options, I can't believe it! My parents a week ago offered to help out, and that took us by surprise, so we figured we better start looking around to see what we wanted! We finally found the one and then it was just reasurching like crazy to find the best deal.

Yesterday, my parents came over and blessed us with a check for their new grandbaby. We were shocked and so thankful. I think I was even more grateful for the support and the acceptance they have for our new baby. Now, it's not like I thought they wouldn't accept him/her, but our family is new to adoption, and I just assumed it would take some time for them to accept it I guess...wrong O! So, anyway, they understand the step in faith we are taking financially, and felt that they could help us with some essentials we'll need.

SO, I happened to google my crib last night (per dh's advise) and I found a place that offered free shipping and no sales tax!!! WOW!!! That right there saved us about $140! They also offered 25% off a crib mattress if you purchased a crib. I added both to my cart, then checked and rechecked it was what we wanted....then I hesitated. Am I really going to click this button called "purchase"?? Is this for real, that I have a reason to be purchasing this item?? I've been waiting sooo long, and now it's almost surreal. This was a major step, a major event in my life, and I didn't want to click "purchase" too fast and have the moment fly by! I finally asked Dave, so, are you sure, should I click it? He said YES, do it...so I did! Then I celebrated! Then I purchased a matching dresser! CRAZY!!!!!

I quickly called my mom to tell her the great news, and she was excited for us. Now we just need to paint the nursery! Wow, I can't believe this is happening! Here's our first major purchase for our baby!

How exciting. What color are you painting the nursery?

We have dark green carpet in the nursery (it was there when we moved in) so we have to make sure to match that. We're looking to go neutral for now...thinking a medium/dark cocoa on bottom with a nice light yellow on top (with a piece of oak trim in between). Jury's still out on these colors, I've got to go and take a peek at the paint store for ideas!

I love it! It's so exciting to start getting the room ready! I'm so glad someone encouraged us to do that since we've had only a week to get ready!

Oh I love it! DH and I bought the same set. It is beautiful. We made the 4-drawer dresser into the changing table.
