Dave and I finally had a chance this last weekend to work on more paperwork for our homestudy agency. We turned all but one thing in!! YEAH! The frustrating part is that I know our caseworker is swamped, plus her hours got cut in 2011! I'm frustrated that it may take till the end of February to be totally approved. We were hoping it could be done quicker and by the end of December or January! When we got our paperwork and wanted to look to schedule out our home visit, it wasn't even an option. So, here I am again, not in control, and waiting impatiently. I know and keep telling myself that God is in control and his timing is perfect. I think I fear that our child will not go to us because our process will take too long and they will go to another family. I know this is stupid cause God would never give our child to someone else...but I'm human.
We have seen a huge difference in the two agencies we're working with. The caseworkers are great, don't get me wrong. It's the organizations that are different. LB is so organized, timely, and on top of things! We are so thankful that God put it on our heart to choose them! I think we'd be even more frustrated if we had gone with the other one for everything!!
I got 6 more cloth diapers yesterday bringing my total to 18! This will be a good start. I would like to get about 6 more, but want to see if it will be a girl or not, cause if it is, I'm getting some pink diapers!! I also had a $10 coupon and went and got 2 sleepers and a receiving blanket. It was so much fun!!!
We're also super excited to meet with our Pastor this Friday. We've been trying to figure out some fundraising ideas for our adoption costs, and felt we needed to do more than just sending out letters of support. Well, God is amazing cause he showed us something that is SO Dave and I and it just fits us to a tee! I'll give you a hint, it's out of James 1:27. More details on this to come!!!

The waiting is hard but God has you exactly where He wants you! It took us from June of 2009 until February of 2010 to become "officially waiting" and I thought I was going to go crazy! I hope your meeting goes well and I'm excited to hear about your fundraising ideas!
Thank you for sharing! My husband and I are going through Bethany Christian Services, but we don't get any feedback from them. I've heard more from our adoption loan officer at the Christian credit Union we're apply at. She just lets us know she's praying for us and that means so much. We were also thinking of doing a cake auction at our church. My mom and I love to bake and people in our church love to eat cake! I'll be praying for your fund raising ideas.
