He answered!!

These past couple weeks have been crazy, to say the least! Dave and I have been really struggling trying to find clear direction from God on what agency to go with. We prayed, talked, worried, prayed, worried, and prayed some more. Still, it seemed like we were getting nowhere!

Saturday morning, God spoke, and we heard!! I was frustrated cause we had to go to a strategic planning mtg at church that morning, and my heart just wasn't there...I had other things to think about!! But, we went and it blew us away. Everything we talked about for the first half of the meeting was SO what we needed to hear and it totally pertained to our situation! Planning for our church's future and talking about a part in our mission statement "empowered by the Holy Spirit" and what that meant and looked like.

Here is what it can look like:
Doesn't make sense
Can't do it on our own
World may not understand
Take you out of your comfort zone
Have no control of situation

These things may happen when making a decision that is spirit empowered. We were using all these things to make us want to use the other agency (the cheaper one). We were using our facts to why we needed to go with agency 2, and how WE could do it on our own this way.

Even the prayer and Bible verses shared at this mtg pertained to us! We are claiming one for our adoption, and I'll put it at the bottom.

When we got home, we were so in awe and excited to share how God spoke to us. We then knew without a shadow of doubt that God wanted us to go with LB (agency 1 and the expensive one). We are scared when we think about the costs involved, cause we don't have it!! BUT, we know God brought us here, and we're excited to see him work. All for his glory!!

Our hearts are at peace and my mind is no longer spinning. Praise God!! It was an early lesson that we can not do this on our own. We need to totally depend on the wisdom from God through the Holy Spirit as we go through this journey of adoption. There will be many, many more decisions we will have to make (and much harder ones) that we can now look back at this moment and see how he led us! It was a teaching moment.
