Psalm 33:20-22

"We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you."

DIA it is!

Dave and I had a great day on Saturday! We made an amazing breakfast together. We got to use our new knives we got from Cutco, UNBELIEVABLE!! Then we spent about an hour in prayer, together and separate, praying for direction on where God is leading us in adoption. It was an amazing time together. It's amazing how praying together as a couple can really make your relationship stronger!

We both felt that God was directing us to domestic infant adoption (dia), and we are SUPER excited! I am in the process of filling out our paperwork to send in this week, and we will probably be attending a meeting this Saturday! Did I mention I was excited??!!

It is so fun planning. I could look through the Sunday adds for things we may need and not feel guilty, like I shouldn't be looking. I know there are some items we'll need to have on hand so we're prepared at least a little when we get the call.

Dave and I decided that we are going to tell our parents on Thanksgiving. We are so excited to let them know, especially being free to tell them we're adopting, when we have never talked to them about our IF. IF won't be a part of our exciting announcement. It's not the reason we are adopting, it's because God has put adoption on our heart. He could have used IF to help put it there, though. Anyway, our family has turned a new leaf!

Amber, I found your blog through my friend Amber Hauser. I really appreciate reading the blog of someone else who is going through the same process! God laid dia on our hearts and we had planned on adopting after we had our first child, but it was God's plan for us to adopt first. I'll be praying for you and Dave as you travel this journey.
