Well, I haven't posted in a week. Life's been busy! We found out some important info last Thursday. We received a packet in the mail from the agency that will be doing our home study and post placement. Their fees were about double than what we thought they'd be. But, we then looked and saw that if we went through them for everything (including placement) it would be $12000 cheaper than going through the other agency!! That's A LOT of money!

We also have been finding out those lovely "extra" fees that would be added on, no matter what agency we went with. Attorney fees are quite expensive, plus the chance of medical as well. There is NO way that we could afford going with the original agency when all these fees are added on. But, with this local agency, with the fees added, we could still afford it. SO, I'm patiently waiting to hear back from agency 2, so I can talk to dh and make a final decision and call back agency 1 and tell them that we can't afford them, so sorry, we'd like to use you, but we can't.

Man, this adoption thing is already putting us on a ride, and we haven't even purchased the tickets yet!!
